Carol Lynn Taylor, 82
Carol Lynn Taylor, formerly a resident of Satellite Beach and Punta Gorda Florida had been residing with her daughter in Lake Wales Florida when she passed on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
She was born September 24, 1941, in Flint, Michigan to the late Maxwell and Margaret Taylor; Carol was an artist in her heart with a great thirst for knowledge and a strong love for the lord.
She began her love of art and God by singing Christian songs on the radio as a child with her younger brother Charlie. Later in her life she became the first female radio host for a Christian station in Flint, Mi. After becoming a weaver and selling her work at art fairs across Michigan, she moved onto drawing and painting where several galleries presented her work in both Michigan and Florida. She believed that everyone could see the beauty in developing their creativity and taught others her skills throughout her lifetime.
Carol was a person of great resilience and determination. After obtaining a Masters Degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, she went on to become an educator at the same university - Flint campus. Upon moving to Florida, she continued her teaching career at Central Florida University and Brevard Community College. She also returned to radio, this time in advertising. Her voice could be heard on several commercials which she also created.
However, her greatest goal in life was, “To raise my daughter to know her mother loves her.” She accomplished that goal as well. Surviving Carol include her daughter, Julie Hubbard and husband Gary of Lake Wales; three grandchildren, Joseph Hunt and his wife Rebecca, Danielle Hunt and her wife Sasha Bellinger, and Louis Carrell and his fiancé Adriana Avendano. Carol also had three great grandchildren, Nicholas, Wyatt and Charlotte.
In lieu of flowers, take time to enjoy what you consider beautiful in the world today.
