LAKE WALES -- Mrs. Carol Lougee of Lake Wales died of cancer Wednesday (Oct. 12, 2005) at home. She was 85.

Born in Arab, Ala., on Dec. 20, 1919, she came to Lake Wales from Birmingham, Ala., 50 years ago. She was a homemaker and had rental property. She also was a waitress at the Chalet Suzanne. She was a Jehovah's Witness.

Mrs. Lougee was preceded in death by her first husband, James Berry, and second husband, Bert Lougee. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Jo Jackson and Debbie Fraser, both of Lake Wales; five grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; and one great-greatgrandchild.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
