Carol Emery

Carol Emery of Lake Wales passed away Friday, April 5, 2019 at the Winter Haven Hospital.

She was born March 13, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas to William and Sadie Reinhard; and she came to Lake Wales from Texas in 1973. She was a retired teacher and during her career, she taught at the Lake Wales High School and South Florida State College. She was a member of the ‘Tuesday Tasters’, a group of retired educators; and enjoyed traveling and brain twisting puzzles.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Emery in 1997; and father, William Reinhard. Survivors include her two sons, Rob Emery with wife, Marsha of Palatka, and Scott Emery with wife, Sue of Jacksonville; mother, Sadie Bybee of Winter Haven; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
