Carlene Marie Tschida, 79

Carlene Marie Tschida of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023 at AdventHealth Lake Wales.

She was born July 30, 1944 in Mandan, North Dakota to the late Bernie and Clementine Sterma. Carlene married her husband Gabriel L. Tschida on February 19, 1963. In 1965, she and her family moved to Babson Park from North Dakota. She enjoyed watching sports, especially football and baseball.

Carlene was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Gabriel Tschida. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Marie Rose and husband Jake of Aiken, South Carolina; son, David Tschida and wife Margaret of Lake Wales; sisters, Donna Dabbieri and husband Ron, Debbie Dewall, and Sue Fick; brothers, Joe Sterna and wife Lorraine, Jim Sterna, Jack Sterna and wife Sue, Jess Sterna, Jerry Sterna, Jay Sterna, and John Sterna; grandchildren, Stephanie Proctor, Lindsay Tschida, Zack Rose, Logan Rose, and Kelsey Rose; and great-grandchildren, Teddy Proctor, Mikhail Rose, and Nevaha Rose.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 8, 2023 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. A private interment will be held.
