Carl R. Gilt, Sr. of Frostproof passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 at the Florida Hospital in Sebring.
He was born March 4, 1943 in Ithaca, NY; he came here from Bergen, NY 12 years ago. He was a retired truck driver, of the Methodist faith and a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Dewey Gilt, his wife, Judith A. Gilt and a son, Carl Gilt, Jr. Survivors include his daughter, Sandra & Rusty Norton of Crowley, TX; a son, Mark D. Gilt of Jacksonville; two sisters, Lois Seager of Calladonia, NY and Sue Pettit of New York; and eight grandchildren.
