Carl Richard Dempsey, Jr.

Carl Dempsey of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born October 7, 1947 in Salem, MA to the late Carl Richard & Lydia K. (Sedlar) Dempsey; he came here from Hollywood, FL in 2003. He was a retired fireman from the City of Hollywood and was of the Catholic faith. He was on the Pension Board at the City of Hollywood and was a member of the Florida Professional Firefighters Union Local #1375.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Shirley M. Fleming and Eileen A. Dempsey. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Linda Dempsey; three daughters, Denise Munnilal of Boynton Beach, Jenny Dempsey of Memphis, TN and Carrie Charow (Kenny) of Coral Springs; one sister, Kathleen Dempsey of Lake Wales; and four grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held 3:30 pm Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
