Carl Wesley Britt

Carl W. Britt, 80 of Lake Wales, Florida passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center.

He was born on February 24, 1935 in Sycamore, Georgia to the late Eddie C. and Princess (Green) Britt and he has been a resident of this area since 1955 moving here from Ashburn, Georgia. He was a Golf Course Caretaker for Lake Region Golf & Country Club. He was the Former Associate Pastor of Refuge Baptist Church, enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, and he was of the Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clynette Britt in 2012.

Survivors include his daughter, Darlene Hancock and husband Chuck of Lake Wales; brother, Jerry Britt of Lake Wales; sister, Janet Roberts of Sylvester, GA; 2 grandsons, Justin and husband Duane Dow, Jeremy Hancock and Granddaughter-in- Law Heather; 4 great grandchildren, Audrey, Wesley, Landon and Emmett.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at the Lake Wales Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am
