Caprice Durham Oliver, 60

Caprice Durham Oliver of Lake Wales, Florida, passed away on February 4th, 2023, at HCA Florida Highlands Hospital in Sebring, Florida, while being embraced by husband Donald M. Oliver (“Donny,” as Caprice called him) and surrounded by sons Bryan and Max, sister Sandi, Brianna Fure, and her Pastor Gary Grindeland.

Caprice was born July 16th, 1962, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She moved to Lake Wales from her hometown two years ago. In life, she was a Registered Nurse at Minneapolis Children's Hospital in the Pediatric ICU department, helping many children and parents through very difficult times. She received her Master's Degree from Bethel College in St. Paul, MN, and was trained as a Nurse Anesthetist. She was a stamping enthusiast and card maker who made beautiful cards and took great joy in sharing her hobby with friends. She also enjoyed teaching new techniques to others. Caprice loved card games and spending time with the family—especially her grandsons.

Caprice is survived by her husband of 42 years, Donald Oliver, Jr.; son Bryan Oliver and wife Amy of Fridley, MN; son Max and future daughter-in-law Brianna Fure of Brooklyn Center, MN; daughter Lindsay K Fuhrman, husband Paul of Saint Paul, MN; mother Judy Durham of St. Paul, MN; father Ronald Durham and wife Barb of MN; sister Sandi Barry and husband Peter of Lawrenceville, GA; sister Julie McCormick and husband Leben of St. Paul, MN; and grandchildren Oliver, Elliot, and one on the way.

Caprice was brilliant, full of heart, passionate, strong and generous. She loved so many people deeply and was loved by many. She could talk to anyone and make them feel comfortable and special. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Memorial services will be held at Breeze Hill Clubhouse on February 26th at 4:00 PM for friends and family in Florida and surrounding areas. Dinner will be served by the Women's Club following a short service. An additional service will be held in the summer in Minnesota for friends and family there.
