C Terry Turner

C Terry Turner, 97, of Lake Wales passed away Monday, August 27, 2012. He was born on October 5, 1914 in Trenton, Georgia to the late Leila and Claude Turner and moved to Lake Wales from Chattanooga, TN in 1937. Retired from Citrus World’s personnel department after 40 years of service and was a member of the First Christian Church. His interest included the family’s Cherokee heritage, Civil War history, listening to Big Band music and watching a good football game or tennis match.

Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Turner in 1998. Survivors include his sister Leila Guider, sons Robert Turner of Glen Arbor, MI and David Turner of Lake Wales; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Friday, September 7, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
