Burrell T. Swears, a beloved family man, passed away on December 31, 2025, at AdventHealth Lake Wales, under the care of Vitas Hospice. He was born on September 1, 1932, in Muskegon, Michigan, a place that held a special place in his heart throughout his life.

Burrell proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, a chapter of his life that highlighted his commitment to service. After returning home, he continued to support his community through his work as a carpenter. Outside of his professional life, Burrell was an active member of the Moose Lodge in Muskegon, where he enjoyed connecting with others in his community. He found joy in fishing and hunting and was a loyal fan of the Detroit Lions.

Burrell was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Marcelle Swears. He is survived by his loving wife, Gail Morrow. He took great pride in his children, including his daughters, Terry Swears and husband Scott of Ventura, California, Kim Best of Albany, New York, Lisa Hodges and husband Dean of Grand Haven, Michigan, Julie Tremain and husband Don of Walker, Michigan, and Marcy Skidmore of Muskegon, Michigan; his son, William M. Morrow and wife Stephanie of Atlanta, Georgia; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service at Indian Lake Estates Methodist Church will be scheduled. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his honor can be sent to the Indian Lake Estates Methodist Church. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.marionnelsonfuneralhome.com.
