Bruce A. Tanke, 68

Bruce A. Tanke of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Winter Haven Hospital.

He was born August 15, 1954 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to the late Robert and Juanita Tanke; he moved to Lake Wales from Stevensville, Michigan a year and a half ago. Bruce was a retired truck driver for Hybels Trucking in Kalamazoo, Michigan and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and going to car shows. He was a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan.

Bruce was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie DuPuie; and brother, Robert Tanke. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Beverly Tanke; nieces and nephews, Daniel Knapp, Susan Lausch, Robert Tanke, Amanda Arent, Jamie DuPuie, Stephen DuPuie, Chris Howarth, Heather Paugh, and Jimmy Howarth; and sister-in-law, Joyce Saint Louis and husband Doug of Battle Creek, Michigan.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his honor to the Berrien County Humane Society (humanesocietyswm.org).
