Bruce William Farlow

Bruce W. Farlow 82, of Fort Wayne, Indiana (winter resident of Winter Haven, Florida) passed away Sunday November 17, 2013 at Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born September 16, 1931 in Midland County, Michigan to the late Sampson and Huldah (Parr) Farlow and has been a winter resident of the area for 16 years. He was a retired Warehouse Man for Super Value in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Bruce was a former Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader, he was a member of National Camper and Hiker Association, enjoyed dancing and was a former member of a square dancing group in Fort Wayne, he enjoyed sitting and talking to friends. Bruce was also a veteran of Korea serving in the US Army and attended Waverly Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew J. Smith

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Gloria Farlow; daughters, Beth D. Smith and husband Larry of Knoxville, Tennessee, Kay E. Waters of Fort Wayne, Indiana; sons, Ben L. Farlow and wife Julie of Decatur, Indiana, Ken W. Farlow of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Doug E. Farlow and wife Debbie of Hicksville, Ohio; sister, Deanne Miller of Bluffton, Indiana; brother, Al Farlow of Geneva, Indiana; 13 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren


Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 1:00 until 4:00 PM with a celebration of life service being held at 3:00 PM at McCombs & Sons Funeral Home 1320 East Dupont Rd. Ft. Wayne, IN 46825
