Bruce Barnett

BRUCE PHILLIP BARNETT, 78 Bruce P. Barnett of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was born December 10, 1938 in Phil Campbell, Alabama to the late John W. and Verdie (Morrow) Barnett. He has been a resident of the area for 60 years coming from Alabama. He was the owner/operator of the Sands Restaurant formerly located on Hwy. 27 South in Lake Wales, Florida for many years. He enjoyed cooking; fishing; watching sports, especially football and basketball; and western shows. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dreama Barnett; daughter Kim Turner and husband, Kenny of Lakeland; sister, Beatrice Green of Prattville, AL; and two grandchildren, Zane Turner and MacKenna Turner. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.  The family will be receiving friends at 3:00 p.m. until time of service.
