Brinda Newby Arredondo

Brinda Newby Arredondo of Frostproof passed away June 25, 2012 at Hope Hospice in Sebring.

She was born August 20, 1952 in Rhea County, TN to the late Jesse Doyle & Johnnie Ruth Newby; she came to the area from Tennessee as a teenager. She was a manager/waitress at the 27 Truck Stop and a member of the Family Life Church in Frostproof. She was a loving wife and mother; and enjoyed family times, crafts and collecting nick-knacks.

Brinda was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Newby and three brothers, Bobby Newby, Jimmy Newby and Rev. Jerry Solomon. Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Julian Arredondo; one daughter, Sandra Arredondo of Frostproof; two sons, Michael Newby of Frostproof and Anastacio "Jesse" Arredondo (Ginny) of Cache, OK; two sisters, Judy Maynor of Lake Wales and Darlene Patterson of Cleveland, TN; three brothers, Charles Newby of Lake Wales, Donald Solomon of Dallas, TX and Elmer Solomon of Oakdale, TN; six grandchildren, D'Andra, Felix, Briana, Kristen, Dustin and Alicia; one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday, June 29, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Frostproof with Rev. Kelly Galati officiating. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
