Bonnie Louise Josey

BONNIE L. JOSEY, 65

Bonnie L. Josey of Lake Wales passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Winter Haven Hospital.

She was born January 31, 1955 to the late Bonnie and Arrie Ray; she moved to Lake Wales from Ocala in 1993. Bonnie was an entrepreneur, owning many businesses, but mostly worked in her own catering business. She was a former member of the Winter Haven Jaycees and volunteered her catering services at bingo night at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the Hard Rock Café to play Blackjack.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her sisters, Margie and Joyce. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ben Moten; sons, Steven Josey of Lake Wales and Christopher Josey and fiancé Jessica Cummings of Petersburg, Alaska; sister, Linda Dees; brothers, Lonnie “Butch” Beckham of Morriston, and William “Billy” Carrol of Lake City; and grandchildren, Clint, Teaghan, Carson, Jackson, and Connor.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 until 6:00 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the Frostproof Train Depot.
