Billy James Tramel

Billy James Tramel of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born December 15, 1945 in Colquitt, GA to the late James Luther and Dorothy Alma Tramel; and he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was retired from Citrus World and was a member of the Church of God. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a great man and loved animals, auctions, fishing and camping.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Linda Tramel; daughter, Cheryl Settle (Joe) of Niceville; sons, Lynn Tramel (Kellie) of Lake Wales and Billy Wayne Harris (Melissa) of Lake Wales; sister, Barbara Gay of Alabama; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2015 and the funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2015 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Denny Cothern officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
