Betty Kocher Underwood

Betty Kocher Underwood, 97 of Indian Lake Estates, Florida passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born on September 29, 1920 in Greencastle, Indiana to the late Mark C. and Velma (Crawley) Kocher and she has been a resident of this area since 1948 moving here from Indiana. She was a Clerical Clerk of the Broward County Elementary, Bookkeeper and a Homemaker. Betty was a member of the Indian Lake United Methodist Church of Indian Lake Estates, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Underwood, Jr. in 1980 and her son, Charles R. Underwood, III in 2013.

Survivors include her Niece, Phyllis Wagner of Spencer, Indiana; nephew, Mark “Bud” Kocher of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Visitation will be held 3:30 pm Wednesday, September 26, 2018 with funeral services at 4:30 PM at the Indian Lake United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Kantz officiating. Interment will be held at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle, Indiana.
