Betty Lou Simmons

Betty Lou Simmons of Frostproof passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at her residence.

She was born August 29, 1931 in Tampa to the late Ralph L. & Leila (Robertson) Pelt; she came here from Moore Haven, FL in 1998. She was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith.

Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard L. Nice, a son, David M. Nice and a sister, Patsy Sears. Survivors include her husband, Floyd Simmons, Jr.; sons, Bruce L. Nice of Lakeport and Craig J. Nice of Thonotosassa; step-sons, Floyd Simmons III of Moore Haven; step-daughter, Deborah S. Ackerman of Great Falls, MT; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 until 5:00 PM, Sunday, October 31, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof. Graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, November 1, 2010 at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
