Betty Jane Rudd

Betty J. Rudd, 91 of Frostproof, Florida passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015, at the Grove Center.

She was born June 29, 1924, in Brevard, North Carolina to the late Monterville E. and Mittie M. (Copehary) Bracken. She has been a resident of the area since 1956 coming from North Carolina. She was a Capping Machine Operator for Proctor and Gamble and a volunteer at the Frostproof care center for 30 years. She was of the Baptist faith

Betty was preceded in death by her husband James D. Rudd, Sr and son Jerry Rudd, Brothers Roy Bracken, Joe Bracken, Doyce Bracken, sisters Alberta Nicholson, Helen Smith and Nellie Lockhart.
Betty is survived by son James D. Rudd, Jr and wife Sandra of Frostproof, FL, Brother Bill Bracken of Ft. Pierce, FL, 4 grandchildren Greg Sizemore, Melanie Waters, Stacey Albert and Duane Rudd, 6 Great- grandchildren and 2 Great- great -grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home Chapel Frostproof with visitation from 11:00 AM until service time. With Rev. Darrol Hood and Mr. Tim Hood Officiating. Interment will be at Silver Hill Cemetery.
