Betty Gail Pitchford

Betty Gail Pitchford of Frostproof passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at her residence. She was born October 19, 1937, in Paducah, Kentucky to the late Hugh and Elsie (Mulbery) Howell. She was retired from Disney in engineering and resident of Frostproof since 1996. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dearld Edward Pitchford, son, Timothy Pitchford and brothers, Charlie Howell and Pete Howell. Survivors include daughters, Carla Parker and her husband, Steven and Dorcas Yelverton and her husband, Jim; sons, Tony Pitchford and his wife, Trish of Frostproof, Haven Pitchford and his wife, Brenda of Frostproof, Kevin Pitchford and his wife, Barbara of Milan, TN and Timothy’s life partner, Jeff; brothers, John E. Howell of Athens, AL and Jimmy McFarland and his wife, Joanne. She had 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 5 – 7 p.m. with service on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof. Interment will be held at Florida National Cemetery on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 1:30 p.m.
