Betty Jean Patton, 85

Betty Jean Patton of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023 at AdventHealth Lake Wales.

She was born May 23, 1938 in Cabin Creek, West Virginia to the late Arnold and Sonia Morgan; she moved to Lake Wales from Virginia in 1979. Betty was a nursing aid and was a member of Newberry Baptist Church in Winter Haven. She was a faithful Christian woman, a devoted reader of the King James Bible, and loved her family dearly.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Patton in 2013. She is survived by her sons, Donald Patton and wife Pamela of Winter Haven, Darren Patton and wife Anita of Winter Haven, and Darrell Patton of Winter Haven; sisters, Bonnie Williams of Morristown, Tennessee, Donna Bryan and husband James of Lake Wales, and Pamela Sink of Herndon, West Virginia; and brothers, Woodrow Wink, Jr. of Beckly, West Virginia and Danny Sink of Beckly, West Virginia; grandchildren, Tiffany, Whitney, Danielle, and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Kagan, Kaylynn, Kaisen, McKenzie, and Lilly; and special niece and nephews, Melissa Guhman and Jeff Bryan.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Kerry Beaty officiating.
