Betty Parslow

BETTY J.  “BEA” PARSLOW, 62 Betty J. “Bea” Parslow of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the Lake Wales Medical Center. She was born August 2, 1954 in Pittsburg, PA; and came here 15 years ago from Tampa. She was a special needs teacher’s aide for Hillsborough and Polk County School Boards; and attended the Church on the Move. She was a kind, giving person who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, knitting, crocheting, fishing, and air boating. Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Buddy Parslow; sons, Michael Scherrbaum and wife, Jennifer of Lake Wales; step-sons, Darren Parslow of Manhattan, NY and Jeff Parslow and wife, Sarah of Tampa; parents, Jim and Beverly Masek of Crest Hill, IL; sister, Melinda Pisano of Pittsburg, PA; brother, Jim O’Toole of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren, Gunner, Hunter, Trinity, Cheyenne, Jake and Luke; her cat, Panther and dog, Honeybun. Celebration of life service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. In lieu of flowers, donation may be sent to Christ’s Church on the Move (2039 State Road 60 East, Lake Wales, FL 33898).
