Betty Joyce Murphy, 97

Betty Joyce Murphy of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at her residence.

She was born November 20, 1926 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada to the late Fred and Gladys Manley; she moved to Lake Wales from Arkansas in 2013. Betty was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Omer Murphy in 1988; daughter, Terry Murphy in 1999; and son, Robert F. Murphy in 2016. She is survived by her son, Timothy “Tim” Murphy of Lake Wales; grandchildren Carrie Murphy, David Chancogne, and Quinn Murphy; great-grandchildren, Alec Murphy, Lila Murphy–Chancogne, and Quentin Murphy-Chancogne; nephews, Tom Murphy and wife Pam, and Paul Murphy; and niece, Eileen Klaiber and husband Rich.

No services are scheduled at this time. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Largo, Florida.  ** The family requests that no flowers be sent at this time.  Thank you. **
