Betty Lou Manning, 83

Betty Lou Manning of Frostproof passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Oaks of Avon.

She was born March 21, 1942 in Alto Pass, Illinois to the late Clinton and Ruth Boner; she moved to Frostproof from Miami in 1970. Betty was a retired box producer for Ben Hill Griffin, Inc. and was an environmental services custodian at Frostproof Middle/High School. She was on a bowling league and also enjoyed playing darts. Betty loved to dance, play the boardgame “Aggravation”, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Manning. She is survived by her son, Joey Manning and wife Deborah of Frostproof; brother, Ray Bonner and wife Lin of Frostproof; sister, Dolly Newberry and husband Roger of Cobden, Illinois; grandchildren, Matthew Manning and wife Renee, Austin Manning and wife Jessica.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof with Rev. Sam Haag officiating. Interment will follow at Silver Hill Cemetery.
