Betty Jaques

Betty Jaques passed away Monday, September 14, 2009 at her residence.

She was born June 26, 1932 in Hialeah, FL to the late Charles E. & Elizabeth Louise (Cass) Barr; she came here in 1949 from Hialeah. She was the secretary and co-owner of Home & Farm Supply and was also a long time secretary at Frostproof High School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Frostproof and enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and reading.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Jaques in 2005. Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Jaques Henley (Dave) of Dade City and Sherry Jaques Moser of Lakeland; son, William Jaques Jr (Lorri) of Frostproof; 8 grandchildren, Heather, John, Jamie, Jim, Jessica, Trey, Stephanie and Amber; and 2 great-grandchildren, Brook and Sydney.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church of Frostproof. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Bill & Lorri Jaques.
