Betty Jean Ferrari, 75, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008 at her residence in Frostproof.

Born June 4, 1933 in Rocky Point, TN; she came to Frostproof in 1996 from Lakeport, MI. She was a homemaker and retired Executive Administrator for Auto-Quip and was a member of the Church on the Ridge. Betty was loved by hundreds and many lives were touched by her various creative talents. She was a puppet maker, card maker, entertainer, and foremost, a beautiful piano player and a great mom. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends, and anyone who knew her will miss her beautiful smile and positive outlook on life.

Betty was preceded by her husband, Joseph Ferrari and parents, Alvin and Verda Jones Jackson. Survivors include her former husband and friend Jess Gilliam, daughters, Regina Collins of Casco, MI and Michelle Young of Sebring, FL; sons, Bruce Gilliam of Tulsa, OK, Darrell Gilliam of Oklahoma City, OK and Kevin Gilliam of Wellington, CO; sisters, Adelle Gragg of Cookville, TN, Mazelle McBroom of SC and Lois Alderson of Denver, CO; 8 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service time at 10:30 AM, Monday, June 9, 2008 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof.
