Betty L. Baxter of Frostproof passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at the Lake Wales Medical Center due to heart failure.

Born January 1, 1924 in Fairview, PA to the late Samuel and Matilda Campbell; she came here from Bellefonte, PA 25 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sun Ray United Methodist Church. She enjoyed painting and crafts and was a good cook.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, James R. “Jim” Baxter, daughters, Bonnie Kissell (Tyrone) of Frostproof and Candace F. Baxter of State College, PA; son, Larry J. Baxter (Aimee) of Lock Haven, PA; sister, Evelyn Dalglish of Louisville, KY; 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1great-great-grandchild.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, December 22, 2008 at the Sun Ray United Methodist Church with Rev. R. James Weiss officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Sun Ray United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 316 Raymond Avenue, Frostproof, FL 33843.
