Betty Lou Ammons

Betty Lou Ammons of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the Winter Haven Hospital.

She was born September 9, 1933 in Lavinia, Tennessee to the late Julian and Elizabeth Hart Osborne and has been a resident of this area since high school moving here from Lavinia, Tennessee. She was a retired Vice President / Loan Processor for Suntrust Bank. She was a member of the Business Professional Women’s Association, former yellow lady at Lake Wales Medical Center and a member of Westside Baptist Church of Lake Wales.

Survivors include her husband of 59 ½ years Curtis Dee Ammons, Jr.; son, Curtis Dee Ammons III and wife Roletta of Hernando, MS; daughters, Karen Danford and husband Mike of Statesboro, GA, Kathryn Vest of Lake Wales; 4 grandchildren, Deeann Finnell and husband Scott, Candice McElhaney, Curtis Dee Ammons IV, Erika Brennan and husband Brian; 4 great grandchildren, Delanna Ammons, Carter Finnell, Maggie McElhaney and Blakely Brennan.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February, 13, 2015 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Bolden officiating. Interment will be held at the Lake Wales Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 AM until service time.
