FROSTPROOF -- Mrs. Bertha Irene Rhoades of Frostproof died of complications from a stroke Saturday (Oct. 23, 2005) at Royal Care of Avon Park. She was 81.
Born Nov. 9, 1923, in Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Rhoades moved to Frostproof from Felton, Del., in 2002. She worked for Wyeth Labs as an inspector. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Women of the Moose and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Rhoades is survived by her daughter, Patricia Anne Boehlke, Frostproof; son, Ronald Dennis Rhoades, Heartly, Del.; brother, George Portocales, Lehigh Acres; sister, Marie Rhoades, West Grove, Pa.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
