Bertha Barbara Kress of Lake Wales passed away Friday, December 19, 2008 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.
She was born February 4, 1912 in Hays, Kansas to the late Anton and Anna (Fross) Younker; she was a homemaker and a former resident of Zephyrhills.
Bertha was preceded in death by her husband, August Kress, a son, James Kress, and a daughter, Lillian Mae Greene. Survivors include her daughter, Frances Defibaugh of Zephyrhills; sisters, Lucille Riedel of Russell, Kansas and Sara Schoendaller of Hays, Kansas; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
