Bertha Scroggins Conley

Bertha Scroggins Conley of Eustis, FL passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Ruleme Center in Eustis, FL.

She was born July 27, 1920 in Columbus, GA to the late William & Flora Carver; she moved from Bossier City, LA to Lake Wales, FL in 1985 and later relocating to Eustis, FL. She was a homemaker and member of the Westside Baptist Church in Lake Wales.

Bertha was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Joe Scroggins; second husband, Elisha Conley; son, Billy Scroggins, brothers; Jack Carver, Albert Carver; sisters, Georgia Ann Woods, Betty Lois and Mary Lyles

Survivors include her son, Gerald Ray Scroggins of Kyle, TX; daughters, Dorothy Schwan of Buffard, GA and Cathie Cooper of Eustis; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled, burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery in Gainesville, GA.
