Bernice Clyde Matteson, 92

Bernice Clyde Matteson of Frostproof passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 at Consulate Health Care of Winter Haven.

She was born April 19, 1929 in Frostproof to the late Marcus and Blanche Walden. Bernice was a retired shift supervisor for Donald Duck Inc. She had a great love for her family and helped raise her siblings.

Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Matteson; and son, Eddie Matteson. She is survived by her son, Byron Matteson and wife Cynthia of Lake Wales; daughter-in-law, Barbara Matteson; sister, Barbara “Bobbie” Butler of Georgia; grandchildren, Corey, Ryan, Gray, Jacob, and Emily Matteson; and great-grandchild, Connor Matteson.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 26, 2021 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof. A private family service will be held. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
