Bennie Wayne Benedict, a devoted family man and respected supervisor for Hunt Brothers, passed away peacefully at his residence on April 22, 2026. Born on August 8, 1954, in Miami, Florida, Bennie lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and a zest for both work and leisure.
Throughout his career, Bennie served as a supervisor for Hunt Brothers, where his leadership and commitment left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the company. He approached his work with the same care and diligence that he brought to his personal life.
Bennie was a man of many passions. In his youth he enjoyed traveling, with New Mexico holding a special place in his heart. These adventures enriched his life and gave him stories and memories that he cherished deeply. In later years, Bennie found joy in simpler pleasures, appreciating serene car rides that allowed him to enjoy the world around him. He particularly loved spending time with his grandchildren—Kaylie, Ethan, and Lawrence—engaging with them through playful activities and computer games, embodying the spirit of a fun and loving grandfather.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn Benedict, who stood steadfastly by his side. Bennie was a proud father to his children: Joel Benedict, Patrick Benedict, Lisa Benedict and her husband Michael, Margie Richards and her husband Lawrence, and Katie Benedict and her husband Justin. His close-knit family also includes his siblings Arlean Benedict Kelley, Janice Walker and her husband Johnny, Judy Stoffel and her husband Joe, and Herbert Benedict and his wife Barbara.
Bennie was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene H. Benedict and Lillian Claire Brown, as well as his brother Eugene Benedict.
Bennie Wayne Benedict’s life was one of devotion, joy, and quiet strength. He touched the lives of those around him with kindness and a generous heart. His memory will endure in the stories, lessons, and love he imparted to his family and friends. The community mourns the loss of a remarkable man and celebrates a life well lived.
