Benito Rivera

Benito Rivera of Frostproof passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at the Kendred Hospital South in Tampa.

He was born August 25, 1937 in Durango, Mexico to the late Jesus Rivera and Cleotilda Alarcon; he came here 45 years ago from Mexico. He was a retired citrus harvestor and of the Penticostal faith. He enjoyed dancing and going to church.

Survivors include his wife, Isabela Rivera; daughter, Luz Elena Rivera of Williamsburg, VA; sons, Roberto Rivera of Mexico, Ivan Rivera of Fort Brag, NC and Jesse Rivera of Wilmington, NC; 2 sisters and 4 brothers all of Mexico; and 2 grandchildren, Isaac Joaquin and Jayden Oryan.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until the funeral service at 6:00 PM, Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof.
