LAKE WALES--Beatrice Rocha Chace, 82, of Lake Wales died of complications of a stroke Saturday, May 26, 2007 at Life Care Center of Winter Haven.

Born November 14, 1924 in Fall River, Massachusetts; she has been a winter resident since 1981 coming from Fall River, MA. She was a retired seamstress for the Mayfair Dress Shop in Fall River. She was of the Catholic faith. She was a member of the Good Sam Club and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and enjoyed camping.

Survivors include her husband, Williston C. Chace of Lake Wales; sons, Joseph Rocha of Little Compton, RI; David Rocha of Fall River, MA; step-son, George Chace of New Orleans, LA; brothers, Fred Carvalho of Middletown, RI; George Carvalho of Tiverton, RI; Tom Carvalho of Michigan; William Carvalho of Fall River, RI; sisters, Evelyn Gleaton of Port St. Lucie; Elaine Manuels of Fall River, MA; 7 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
