Barbara Jean "B.J." White

Barbara Jean “B.J.” White of Lake Wales passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 at the Kindred Hospital in Tampa.

She was born on January 28, 1948 in Orlando, Florida to the late Harold Claude and Thelma Olene (Heath) Parrish and she has been a lifelong resident of this area. She was a retired case manager for the Dept. of Children and Families. Barbara enjoyed playing Bunko with her group and attended the Westside Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Gartin and husband Tim of Orlando; son, David Parrish of Lake Wales; brothers, Harold C. Parrish II and wife, Mary of Hampton, TN, Larry Parrish and wife Carol of Lake Wales; 2 grandchildren, Kealy and Josh; 1 great grandchild, Hadley; and a devoted friend to many.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the Lake Wales Cemetery with Stephen Bolden officiating. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home.
