LAKE WALES--Barbara B. Guyton of Lake Wales died from complications of a stroke Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Good Shepherd Hospice. She was 79.

Born April 12, 1927 in Detroit; MI; she came here from Grosse Pointe in 1977. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Wales. She was a graduate of Grosse Pointe Country Day School and Wheaton College of Norton, MA. She was a member of the Country Club of Detroit, the Junior League of Detroit and the Sigma Gamma Association.

Mrs. Guyton was preceded in death by her husband, Jack S. Guyton.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, February 05, 2007 at the First Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, Florida 33823 or the University-Leggitt School, Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan 48236.
