BARBARA CARTER, 64

LAKE WALES -- Mrs. Barbara Kaye Carter of Lake Wales died Tuesday (Jan. 31, 2006) of cancer at her residence. She was 64.

Born June 21, 1941, in Morganton, N.C., she came here from Oviedo in 1981. She was an accountant for the County Commission.

She was an artist and member of the Bartow Art Guild.

Mrs. Carter is survived by her husband, Vince Carter of Lake Wales; son, Vincent V. Carter of Asheville, N.C.; sister, Gayle Eaker of Atlanta; two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Burial will be held at Drexel Cemetery in North Carolina.
