Barbara Veniece Booth, 55, of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, January 12, 2008 at her residence.

Born September 12, 1952 in Auburndale; she has been a lifelong resident of Lake Wales and graduated from Lake Wales High School. She was a medical secretary for Eagle Ridge Medical Center and was a member and played the piano at the Central Avenue Baptist Church. She was a volunteer as a family support coordinator for Desert Storm and volunteered for the Red Cross.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Booth of Valrico; Kristin Booth of Babson Park; son, Jason Booth of Lake Wales; brother, Paul Griffin of Lake Wales; sisters, Juanita Wimberley of Lake Wales; Phyllis Ward of Lake Wales; 5 grandchildren; and her fiance, David Brown of Lake Wales.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 17, 2008 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 18, 2008 at the funeral home with Pastor Charles Cooper officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
