BARBARA  L.  ANDRESS,  79

Barbara L. Andress of Lake Wales passed away peacefully Sunday, May 9, 2021 in the care of Vitas Hospice at AdventHealth Lake Wales.

She was born March 18, 1942 in Cold Spring, NY to the late William and Pauline Bailey; she came here from Clearwater in 1978. She was a retired secretary for Florida Lion’s Camp for the visually handicapped and a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. She was a lifetime member of the Lions Club and the Eastern Star in New York.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Paul N. Andress and son, James L. Andress. Survivors include her daughter, Tina Andress of Beacon, NY; sons, David P. (Barbara) Andress of Lake Wales and Christopher W. Andress of Sneads; sister, Mary Jane Smith of Cold Spring, NY; four grandchildren, Peyton (Jarod) Edwards, Ty (Haley) Andress, Julianna and Jaclyn Landolfi; and two great-grandchildren, Jace and Beckett.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2021 at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Lake Wales with Father Tim Nunez officiating. Interment will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Bishop Gray Retirement Foundation (Post Office Box 233, Winter Park, Florida 32790.
