Austin Houstin Harper

Austin Houston Harper of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born October 18, 1938 in Walton County, Florida to the late Thad and Annis (Madden) Harper and has been a long-time resident of Lake Wales. He was a veteran of the Army and a supervisor with Phillip & Jordan Construction.

He was proceeded in death by his daughter, Marilyn Daley. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary; daughter, Linda Smothers and her husband Billy of Cairo, Georgia; son, Michael Ray Harper of Cairo, Georgia; sister, Evla Merle Dison of Alturas, Florida; brother, Gene Harper and his wife Sandy of Winter Haven, Florida and 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
