Audrey Meyers Terry

Audrey Meyers Terry of Lake Wales passed away Monday, April 27, 2009 at the Life Care Center in Winter Haven.

She was born May 7, 1919 in Fenton, IL to the late Harvey and Eva Meyers; she came to Lake Wales in 1999 from Miami Springs, FL. She was a retired secretary from the Miami Dade School Board, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lake Wales, a member of the United Methodist Women's Organization, a member of the Altar Guild, a greeter and member of the Esther Schaaf Sunday School Class, and Secretary/Treasurer of the Lake Shore North Condo Association for four years.

Mrs. Terry was preceded in death by her son, Clay Terry. Survivors include daughters, Linda Lastinger of Galax, VA, Joan Yurt of Ramsey, NJ, Donna Barringer of Lake Wales, sons, Glenn Meyers Terry of Coconut Grove, FL, Bruce Terry of San Luis Obispo, CA, fourteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren, sister, Evelyn Nimnicht of Winter Park, FL.

Memorial service will be held Friday, May 1, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Lake Wales. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Lake Wales Care Center, 140 E. Park Ave., Lake Wales, FL 33853.
