Atanacio Ortiz, Sr.

Atanacio Ortiz, Sr. of Winter Haven passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Winter Haven Hospital. He was born December 10, 1964 in Mexico to Miguel Ortiz and Pabla Amaya; he came here from Texas in 1988. He was a retired industrial mechanic and enjoyed boxing, soccer, working on cars and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Maria Ortiz; daughters, Juani Ortiz of Winter Haven, Nin Ortiz of Lake Wales and Bianca Ortiz of Plant City; sons, Chito Ortiz of Lake Wales, Angel Ortiz of Lake Wales, Perfecto Ortiz of Lake Wales and Hector Ortiz of Lake Wales; sisters, Maria Martinez of Lake Wales, Elia Ortiz of Grand Rapids, MI, Gloria Ortiz of Grand Rapids, MI and Veva Ortiz of Lake Wales; brothers, Miguel Ortiz of Lake Wales, Rosalio Ortiz of Lake Wales, Jose Ortiz of Lake Wales and Marcos Ortiz of Mexico; 14 grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2017 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
