Arwilda Wynn Johnston of Lake Wales passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born April 14, 1932 in Glenwood, GA to the late George L. and Nannie Wynn; she was a lifelong resident of Lake Wales. She was the retired owner/operator of Johnson-Tillman Insurance Agency and member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Lake Wales Woman’s Club.

Arwilda was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, George Johnston, Sr.; son, George A. Johnston, Jr.; and brother, George L. Wynn. Survivors include her son, Robert H. Johnston and Sharon of Deltona; daughter-in-law, Rexanna Johnston of Winter Haven; brother, Andrew L. Wynn and wife, Ruthann of Tallahassee; sister, Blondell Perry of Lake Mary.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral service 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Jeff Kantz officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
