Arthur Eugene Odom

Arthur Eugene Odom of Frostproof, FL passed away to be with the Lord on December 31, 2011. He was 76 years old.

He was born June 3, 1935, Arthur Odom was an avid gardener who loved to keep a garden year round and was an active member of the Southside Baptist Church in Frostproof where he was also deacon. He was a retired 1st Sergeant of the Florida Army National Guard.

Surviving are two sons Duane Eugene Odom of Greenville, SC and Larry Bill Odom of Frostproof; a daughter, Betty Jean Downs also of Frostproof; two siblings, Gwen McDuffie of Ocala and Johnnie Odom of Ridgecrest, CA; four grandchildren, Timothy Duane Odom of Greenville, SC, Devan Phillips of Frostproof, Kevin Phillips of Frostproof and Tabitha Odom of Frostproof.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof. The funeral service will be held 10:00 am Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Southside Baptist Church in Frostproof. Burial will be held 2:00 pm Friday, January 6, 2011 at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
