Arthur George “Art” Dittmar, Sr. of Lake Wales passed away Monday, September 20, 2021 at Advent Health Davenport.

He was born March 1, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Robert and Josephine Dittmar; he moved to Lake Wales from Maryland 18 years ago. Art was a retired assembly line worker from General Motors and was a member of Family Life Church in Frostproof. He loved golfing, woodworking, and building things.

Art is survived by his wife of 21 years, Marlene F. Dittmar; son, Arthur Dittmar, Jr. (Gail) of Maryland; two daughters, Thelma Maloy of Maryland, and Barbara Schisler (Tim) of Lake Wales; stepdaughters, Kim Smith of Maryland, and Tammy Pennix of Arizona; brother, Les Dittmar of Maryland; four grandchildren, Coral, Taylor, Sarah, Karl, Jr.; and two step grandchildren, TeJay, and Austin.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Family Life Church with Rev. Kelly Galati officiating.
