Clifton Arnold Smith, 72

Arnold Smith of Frostproof, FL went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at his residence due to cancer.

He was born October 24, 1941 in Ona, Florida to the late Clifton Joseph and Tommie Lorene (Gay) Smith and has been a lifelong resident of the area. He was a retired supervisor for Coca-Cola Food Division and served proudly in the United States Army. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, baseball cards and was a sports memorabilia collector he also loved spending time with his family and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years Diedra A. Smith, daughters Traci Chavis of Avon Park, FL, Kelli Scott and husband Justin of Lake Wales, FL, Son Clifton E. Smith and wife Hilda of Lakeland, FL, sisters Nadine Eason of Avon Park, FL, Gwen Greenway of Frostproof, FL, brother Henry E. Smith of Frostproof, FL. 7 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, October 11, 2014 until service time at 11:00 at the Emmanuel Baptist Fellowship with Rev. John Essigman officiating. Interment will be at Silver Hill Cemetery.
