Arnold “Cliff” Allen, 89

Arnold “Cliff” Allen of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at his residence.

He was born November 25, 1934, in Waverly to the late Arnold and Wilma Allen; he has been a lifelong resident of the area. Cliff was a lineman for Florida Power and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Masons, Shriners, and of the 32nd Degree Scottish Rite. Cliff played football for Lake Wales High School and was a fan of the Miami Dolphins and the Tampa Bay Rays. He loved his work and his family.

Cliff was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Allen, and brothers, Richard Allen, Robert Allen, and Gene Allen. He is survived by his sons, Arnold “Jeff” Allen and wife Kim of Lake Wales, and Jonathon “Keith” Allen of Lake Wales; grandchildren, Michael and (Paulina), Matthew, Stasia (Mike), and Ainsley; and eight great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the memorial service at 6:00 p.m., Monday, December 18, 2023, at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
