Arlene Shaw

February 20, 1945 — November 24, 2015

Arlene Shaw of Winter Haven succumbed to natural causes and passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Spring Lake Rehab Center in Winter Haven at the age 70.

She was born February 20, 1945 in Atlanta, GA the third child of Walter and Lucille Hamlin. She was a retired nurse and operating room tech at the Lake Wales and Winter Haven Hospitals and was a member of the St. Albans Episcopal Church in Auburndale. She was a life member of the Beta Sigma Phi, a former Girl Scout leader and den mother. She was an FSU fan.

She is preceded in death by her siblings, Bobbie Sue Thrower and Butch Hamlin. She is survived by her husband, Father Timothy Shaw and children, Captain Michael (Melody) Shaw stationed in Germany and Stephanie (Jason) Moore of Naples; grandchildren, Bryan and Makayla Shaw, Kaleb and Aiden Moore; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial mass will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2015 at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Auburndale. Interment will be held at a later date.
