Antonio Arriaga Rivera

Antonio Arriaga Rivera of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born December 15, 1952 in Puerto Rico; and he came here from Dade City over 30 years ago. He was a welder and of the Catholic faith. He was always making deals on antiques cars, because he enjoyed collecting and fixing them. He liked Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, and Rocky movies. He was a great family man and enjoyed fishing on the Skyway Bridge. He will be greatly missed by his family and pet parrot, Paulee, who found him one day while he was working on a car.

Antonio was preceded in death by his father, Jose Arriaga and two brothers. Survivors include his wife, Paula Arriaga; daughter, Jessica Arriaga Menze of Lake Wales; son, Jose Julio Arriaga of Lake Wales; mother, Clotilde Suarez; fourteen brothers and sisters; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Father Glenn Charest officiating. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof.
